The Port of Tallinn has served as a meeting point on the commercial routes between the East and West throughout history. The port also offers crossings to Finnish and Swedish destinations by ferry. The city of Tallinn, with a long and fascinating history, is Estonia's capital.
The Tallinn passenger terminals handle six million passengers annually.
The terminals offer several shops, a coffee shop and comfortable departure lounges. The port is used for both cruise ships, passenger ferries, and during the summer months also for high-speed ferries.
There are daily sailings between Tallinn and Stockholm and Helsinki and two sailings a week to Rostock in Russia.

Silja Line provides five crossings a day to Helsinki. Journey time is approximately 1 hour, 40 minutes. Tallink and Nordic Jet Lines operate nine daily crossings also taking 1 hour, 40 minutes and Viking Line offers two daily sailings that take three hours.
The distance between the two cities is just 80 km / 50 miles. As a result, Tallinn has become a popular day trip destination for Finnish people, who realise they can do much more with their money in Tallinn.
Tallink offers a daily sailing between Tallinn and Stockholm. Duration of the voyage is about six hours.
Silja Line offers two weekly voyages to Rostock and St Petersburg. The voyage to Rostock in Northern Germany has a crossing time of 25 hours, while the trip to St Petersburg in Russia lasts 13 hours.
All vessels provide facilities for disabled passengers. Assistance in boarding can be arranged by informing the company when making ferry reservations.
